The Central Government has approved Rs 622 crore for the National Highway from Sriganganagar to Raisinghnagar under the Bharat Mala Road Project. Tenders have also been done for this and tenders will open this month.
Shri Ganga Nagar.There is good news for the border people. The Central Government has approved the National Highway from Sriganganagar to Raisinghnagar. This highway going through Shrikaranpur will make the journey of the people easy. In the ambitious Bharat Mala Project to develop National Highways in the country, the 102-km long National Highway number 911 from Sadhuvali near Sriganganagar to Bhompura in Raisinghnagar has got the green signal.
Its executive agency will be the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Earlier, 98 km of this NH-911 of Bharat Mala Project from Raisinghnagar to Rojdi has been made in the district. Now after the completion of construction from Sadhuwali to Bhompura, the 200 km border strip will be fully connected with better road facilities.
Land acquired for highway, award money also released according to Safi Mohammad, Project Director of NHAI Hanumangarh, the award money for the land that has been acquired for this highway has been released. The compensation amount will be distributed through the concerned SDM. Work orders will be issued soon after the tender opens in October and efforts will be made to complete the work within 24 months.
The construction of the highway will have to be completed in two years, according to the highway officials, the NH department has tendered which will be opened in October. On this, trucks and other heavy goods carrier vehicles will be able to run at a speed of more than 100 kilometers per hour. Only 70 km of the existing road will be widened on this highway. The remaining 32 km will be a new road.
Vehicles will pass only outside the towns. National Highway-911 from Sadhuwaliwill pass throughMirjewala Gate, Shrikaranpur, Gajsinghpur, and Raisinghnagar near the city of Sri Ganganagar. Heavy vehicles should not enter Sriganganagar, Srikaranpur, Gajsinghpur, and Raisinghnagar, for this bypass will be built here. The length of these bypasses will be 41.52 km. Sriganganagar bypass will be the longest 16.134 km, Srikaranpur bypass 6.840 km, Gajsinghpur bypass 6.0 km, and Raisinghnagar bypass 12.55 km long.
New industries will flourish in the towns of the border area, at present there was no national highway in the border area. The National Highway from Sriganganagar to Rajiyasar in the district connects the big cities.NH-911 will improve road connectivity in the border area. The movement of heavy goods carrier vehicles will increase. There will be a possibility of new industries flourishing in the towns of the border area. At present, industrial development is not taking place here due to a lack of road infrastructure.
