NHM Workers Strike: The contract of Jharkhand Program Manager of National Health Mission has been terminated. The NHM personnel have gone on strike since Tuesday demanding their reappointment. They say that they will remain on strike till the decision is withdrawn.
Ranchi.There is big news about the health system of Jharkhand.About 5 thousand employees working in the National Health Mission (NHM) across the state have gone on strike from today.The striking employees have also put a condition to end the strike.Actually, the contract of Jwala Prasad, State Program Manager of NHM has been terminated.The employees are demanding the reinstatement of their contract.The employees say that unless the State Program Manager is reinstated, the strike will not end.The health system of the state is expected to be adversely affected due to the strike of NHM employees.
The striking employees of the National Health Mission said that MD Bhuvnesh Pratap Singh, in-charge of NHM, has been informed about going on an indefinite strike from Tuesday.It is to be known that under the National Health Mission in Jharkhand, 14 thousand employees are working on contract, out of which 9000 are ANM-GNM.No information has been given by the ANM/GNM union about going on strike yet.In this way, the remaining 5000 employees of Jharkhand will be on strike from Tuesday.
