To give information on this subject, a workshop was also organized in the auditorium of Greater Noida Authority on Monday, in which apart from the staff of Greno Authority, contractors and officials of UPPCB participated.
AK Arora, General Manager of Greater Noida Authority, who attended the workshop, said that on the instructions of the CEO of the Authority, Narendra Bhushan, Greater Noida has been divided into eight zones to ensure that the NGT rules are followed in letter and spirit. The azonal officer has been appointed for each zone. A nodal officer has been deployed to coordinate with all eight zones and to implement the rules to prevent air pollution.

He said that anti-smog guns would soon be installed on construction sites larger than 20 thousand square meters. Water will be sprinkled to prevent dust. Arrangements have been made for additional tankers. The General Manager said that all the zonal officers will regularly send the action report to the nodal officer. The nodal officer will make the report available to the senior officers. The zonal officers will keep an eye on all the construction sites and get all the rules set by the NGT to be followed. He said that if there is any traffic jam, then inform the traffic police soon. If someone violates the rules of NGT, then there is a provision to impose a heavy fine on him.
