Cantt police arrested the absconding policeman from near the railway museum. However, the police claim that even before the hearing in the court, the police has arrested the absconding prize money officer Vijay Yadav. At the same time, the arrested inspector Vijay Yadav has been handed over by the police to the SIT of Kanpur. The SIT is interrogating the accused inspector at the Ramgarhtal police station regarding the incident. Especially the SIT is trying to know what happened in Hotel Krishna Palace on the day of the incident. It is being told that after interrogation, accused Inspector Vijay Yadav will be produced before the magistrate.

It is worth noting that on September 27, Manish Gupta, a businessman of Kanpur, died under suspicious circumstances in Hotel No. 512 of Krishna Palace of Ramgarhtal police station. Regarding Manish's death, initially, SSP Gorakhpur had told him about an accident. However, after the post-mortem report proved contrary to the statement of the SSP, Meenakshi Gupta, the wife of the deceased, had demanded a CBI inquiry, pleading for the help of the Yogi government. On which, Chief Minister Yogi had directed the SIT to investigate the entire matter till the transfer of the case along with recommending the CBI investigation.

On the other hand, the team of SIT Kanpur, which came into action as soon as the investigation of the case was received, has been engaged in the investigation of the case by camping in Gorakhpur for the last two weeks. During this, along with recording the statement of the accused policemen, the statements of the people related to the whole episode have been recorded. At present, in the SIT investigation so far, the matter of death of businessman Manish Gupta due to being beaten up by the police is coming to the fore. However, no official statement has been issued by the SIT in this case yet. It is being speculated that with the arrest of all the accused policemen, now the SIT can hand over the investigation report of the entire episode to the CBI.
