Howrah: There is good news for the passengers going from Howrah to Puri, Mumbai and Chennai.The Ministry of Railways has decided to run eight high speed trains across the country.Of these, three trains will open from Howrah.It is being told that the maximum speed of high-speed trains will be 160 kmph.Separate rakes and tracks will be prepared for these and the signaling system will also be different.On behalf of the ministry, the concerned zone has been asked to submit a report in two months.
According to the information, these three trains will open from Howrah station for Puri, Mumbai and Chennai.Howrah to Puri distance is 502 kms.Shatabdi Express takes seven and a half hours to cover this distance.The high speed train will cover this distance in about four hours.At the same time, the distance from Howrah to Mumbai is 1,965 km.At present Duronto Express departing from Howrah to Mumbai takes 26 hrs.The high speed train will take the passengers to Mumbai in just 14 hours.
Similarly, the distance from Howrah to Chennai is 1,652 km.Chennai Mail and other trains cover this distance in approx 28 hrs.The high speed train will take the passengers to Chennai in 13 hours.Five high speed trains will run between Delhi-Chennai, Mumbai-Chennai, Chennai-Bengaluru, Bengaluru-Hyderabad and Chennai-Hyderabad.
Vande Bharat Expresswill reach from Howrah to Ranchi in five hours:Eastern Railway has also planned to start Vande Bharat Express.It will cover the distance between Howrah to Ranchi in just five hours.It is expected that Vande Bharat Express will start between Howrah-Ranchi by the middle of next year.This train will open from Howrah in the morning and from Ranchi in the evening.Vande Bharat Express between Howrah and Ranchi will have stoppages at Durgapur, Asansol, Dhanbad, Chandrapura, Bokaro and Muri stations.
