Sanjay Tiwari of Bhanu Construction has been arrested in the case of illegal transfer of 100 crores in the Mid Day Meal Scheme.

Ranchi: Sanjay Tiwari of Bhanu Construction changed his world after getting caught in the 100 crore bank scam. Adopted a unique method. In order not to be caught by the investigating agencies, many companies were formed and started working from closed rooms. However, after much effort, the Enforcement Directorate arrested him. After his arrest, he was produced in a special court of PMLA, from where he was sent to judicial custody for 14 days. ED has sought 15 days remand for Sanjay Tiwari from the court. Hearing on this will take place on Wednesday.

The ED officers had to face a lot of trouble in the arrest of Sanjay Tiwari. He himself remains locked in a flat and his office also runs in a closed room from outside.

It currently does business under the names UTS Infratech, Bhanu Highway Projects Limited and Chias Tea Industries & Beverages. UTS Infratel has the work of digitization of police stations in 17 districts of Bihar. Under this scheme, Criminal and Crime Tracking Network and System (CCTNS) is to be developed. Apart from Sanjay Tiwari, there is another director named Rajat Sharma in UTS. The work of digitization of police stations has been offloaded to him by a company named Urvashi.

The ED team reached Vasundhara Apartment in Argora at 7 am on Monday. As soon as he reached the gate, Sanjay Tiwari, the director of Bhanu Construction, got the information. He had installed CCTV on every way to reach his rooms. People associated with Sanjay Tiwari's WhatsApp group became active as soon as the ED officers reached the gate of the apartment. Sanjay immediately sent instructions to the employees not to come to the office on Monday.

20 people work in a closed room office. There is an expenditure of about three lakh rupees per month on their salary allowance. Sanjay Tiwari's family lives in flat number 1008 located on the 10th floor of the apartment. During the search of this flat, ED officials found many important documents. Despite many efforts, Sanjay Tiwari could not be traced. No one was ready to tell about the place where Sanjay was hiding.

Apart from the guard of the apartment, Sanjay's wife and children were also not telling anything. Later, ED officials warned of legal action against those hiding the information. After this it was learned that Sanjay Tiwari is hiding in flat number 901. When the ED officials again reached this flat, they found the lock locked from outside. After much effort, the flat was opened, then Sanjay Tiwari was found in the flat. After interrogation, ED officials arrested him late in the night.

As soon as the information about his arrest was received, Sanjay Tiwari said that the ED officials cannot arrest him, as the Supreme Court has prohibited taking any coercive action. He also gave the copy of the Supreme Court order to ED. After this ED took legal advice from his lawyer and arrested him.
