UPTET 2021 Cancelled: Paper leaked on WhatsApp even before reaching the centers, 23 arrested so far

The state government has canceled the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test.

The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) paper, which is being held in Uttar Pradesh today (Sunday) i.e. on November 28, has been leaked. Due to this the exam has been cancelled. The state government has canceled the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. Director of Basic Education Department Sarvendra Vikram Singh said that the decision has been taken to cancel the examination after the question paper went viral on social media. Question paper leaked on WhatsApp.

After the paper leak, STF has conducted raids across the state, many people have been detained from Prayagraj, Meerut and Ghaziabad. The exam date will now be announced later. Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary, Basic Education Department, said that an FIR has been lodged in Prayagraj for the question paper leak. He said that the investigation of the matter has been handed over to the STF.

23 people arrested for leaking paper

ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that 23 people who leaked the paper have been arrested. His interrogation is going on, soon the whole matter will be revealed. ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar told in a press conference that four accused have been arrested from Lucknow, three from Meerut, two from Gorakhpur-Varanasi, one from Kaushambi and Prayagraj. So far 23 accused have been arrested by the police.

Papers leaked even before reaching the exam centers

He said that like other mafias, the back of copying mafia will also be broken. Whoever is involved in this will not be spared. ADG Law and Order said that the papers were leaked even before reaching the examination centres. UPSRTC has made arrangements to take the students to their homes. Candidates will be able to go to their homes for free by roadways buses by showing the admit card of the examination.

Exam will be held within a month

The UP government will conduct the UPTET exam again within a month. Law and Order, ADG, Prashant Kumar said that the candidates will not have to pay any fee.

The state was supposed to have two shifts at 2554 examination centers in Uttar Pradesh Teachers' Eligibility Test 2021 (Upitiiti) today was to be held at 2554 centers in all districts of the province. The first shift exam was to be held between 10 am to 12:30 am. There were 1291628 candidates in the primary level examination in the first shift. In the second shift, the upper primary level examination was to be held between 2.30 pm to 5 pm. There were a total of 873553 candidates in this. For the first shift, 2554 and for the second shift examination, 1747 centers were made.

The UPTET exam paper has been reported to be leaked, hence the examination of both the shifts is being canceled with immediate effect. Then within a month, the examination will be conducted without any fee from the candidates.

Instructions have been given to get the FIR done and the investigation is being handed over to the UP STF so that strict action can be taken against the culprits by identifying them.
