Big accident in UP's Rae Bareli: A major fire broke out in a roadways bus, 14 passengers scorched, one serious, Lucknow referred

A fire broke out in a roadways bus of Alambagh depot in Harchandpur police station area on Lucknow-Prayagraj highway.

The contracted bus of Alambagh depot became a ball of fire after it collided with a truck parked near Tanda village on the Lucknow-Prayagraj National Highway. The collision was so strong that the bus crossed the divider and reached the other side. Luckily the bus didn't overturn. There was panic among the passengers after the accident.

Somehow the passengers got out of the bus after screaming and saving their lives. During this 14 passengers got burnt. Out of this, nine passengers were taken to CHC Harchandpur, while six passengers were taken to the district hospital. One passenger was referred to Lucknow after his condition was critical. The fire completely burnt the bus along with the luggage of the passengers.

It is being told that the driver was fixing the lead in his ear to listen to the song. Due to this the bus went out of control and after colliding with the truck, it became a ball of fire. The police is investigating the accident. At around 4 pm, the contracted bus of Alambagh depot was going from Rae Bareli to Lucknow. About 60 passengers were on the bus.

A truck was already parked near Tanda village on the highway. The uncontrolled bus rammed into a truck parked from behind. The collision was so fast that the bus crossed the divider and reached another part. After the collision, the bus started burning with smoke. Soon the bus became a ball of fire. The passengers on the bus somehow escaped with their lives.

On getting information about the incident, Thanedar Uresh Singh and fire brigade personnel reached the spot. After a lot of effort, the people on the bus were pulled out. CO Sadar Vandana Singh said that the bus caught fire after colliding with the truck. On reaching the information, the scorched people were taken to the hospital.

No passenger was killed in the accident. The entire incident is being investigated. SHO Uresh Singh said that the driver was fixing the lead in his ear to listen to the song. Due to this the bus rammed into a standing truck. The driver-operator fled from the spot. Search is on for both.
