The Basic Education Department of Uttar Pradesh has released the schedule of the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET), which was canceled in November. Now the new date of UP TET has been fixed on 23rd January. UPTET is one of the biggest teacher eligibility examinations in the country and this year around 21 lakh candidates will take part in both papers.
Earlier on November 28, UPTET was canceled due to paper leak on the day of the exam itself. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath had also ordered to take strict action on this matter and to conduct the examination once again in a transparent manner within a month. However, it has taken more than a month to conduct it due to administrative reasons and time taken in determining the exam centres.
This is the admit card for the scheduled exam will be issued on 12th January 2022. According to the official notification released, UPTET will be conducted on 23 January 2022. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be conducted from 10 am to 12.30 pm and the second shift will be conducted from 2.30 pm to 5 pm. The exam will be conducted following all the Corona guidelines.
Will be released on February 25. The results will be released to answer key Upitiiti on 27th January 2022 by the Department of Basic Education in Uttar Pradesh. Candidates will be given time to raise objections on this answer key till February 1, 2022. After this the department will release the final answer key on 23 February 2022. Based on this final key, the results will be announced on 25 February 2022.

Action till now in paper leak Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had instructed to take action under the Rasuka and Gangster Act in this paper leak case. The investigation of the paper leak has been handed over to the STF. The STF has so far arrested more than 30 people in this case from different districts of the state. Suspended Examination Regulatory Secretary Sanjay Kumar Upadhyay was arrested for negligence in the examination. Along with this, the owner of the press which printed the examination papers was also arrested.
Rumors were spread that the exam would be held on 26th December
The rumor of UPTET exam to be held on 26th December was spread on social media. However, Anamika Singh, Secretary of, Basic Education Department, had told that new dates would be announced after taking a decision on the departmental inquiry.
More than 20 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam. Around 20 lakh candidates had appeared in the UP TET exam. For this huge number of students, 2,736 exam centers were earmarked by the government across the state. However, it was canceled due to the paper leak on the day of the exam itself. UPTET exam is conducted every year. Through this, qualified teachers are selected to teach primary (class 1-5) and upper primary (class 6-8) classes in UP government schools.
