Metro will run with 50 percent passengers

Due to upward corona graph across the state and Increasing infections, Strict restrictions are being imposed in the state from Monday. Metro service will continue with 50 percent passengers. In this situation again token service is being stopped in Kolkata Metro Railway.

According to the Kolkata Metro Rail Authority, the tokens will be closed from Monday, January 3. Passengers will be able to board the metro only through smart card. However, there is no change during the metro service. After the outbreak of the second wave of corona, the use of tokens started in Kolkata Metro from last 25th November.

Besides, all schools, colleges and universities in the state will be closed from Monday on the instructions of the government. However, the vaccination camps will continue. 50 percent attendance in government and private offices. There are only two flights a week from Mumbai and Delhi to Kolkata on Mondays and Fridays.

Shopping malls, bars, cinema halls and restaurants will be open till 10 pm from Monday to avoid infection. Barely 50 percent of the people have access. Swimming pool, beauty parlor, spa, gym will be closed. Zoo, amusement park, tourist centers are also ordered to close. Religious, social and wedding ceremonies will be held with 50 people from Monday. Funeral 20 people allowed to stay. Meetings and conferences cannot be held with more than 200 people. Home delivery will continue as per the tax rules. The government has given permission to work in factories and tea gardens only if there are two doses of vaccine.
