The protest was expressed on behalf of the government.The centralgovernment hadopposed theapplication of BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, saying that Tata Sons is a completely Indian company, which has bought Indian Airlines Air India, so Subramanian Swamy's allegations are completely Wrong. Let us inform that Swamy has approached the Delhi High Court with a request to quash the disinvestment process of Air India and stay the approval given to it by the authorities.
Swamy's lawyer had made this requestSwamy, in the petition filed through advocate Satya Sabarwal, had also requested a CBI inquiry into the role and style of the officers and a detailed report of the same before the court. Significantly, in October last year, the central government had accepted the highest bid offered by a Tata Sons company for 100 percent shares in Air India and Air India Express as well as a 50 percent stake in ground handling company AISATS.
