The Government of India has started a campaign to introduce booster doses from January 10 for the elderly who have taken two doses of Corona.

A big announcement has been made about India's first indigenous vaccine, Covaxin. Bharat Biotech, the company that makes this vaccine, has claimed that the booster dose of Covaxin inactivates the Omicron and Delta variants of the coronavirus. The company has made this claim after the initial results of the ongoing research on the booster.

Earlier Bharat Biotech had said that its trials of Covaxin booster dose showed it to be safe for a long period of time without any serious adverse events. The Covaxin manufacturer said that 90 percent of those who took the dose showed a strong antibody response against the corona (6 months after the second dose).
