The country's largest power producer NTPC has written to the Railways to change the name of its Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) examinations conducted by the Railway Board on January 24 amid the controversy in Bihar.

In the past, many students had demonstrated claiming some irregularities regarding the RRB NTPC exam. The protesting students had protested by stopping trains at several railway stations in Bihar.

Students had raised questions on the results of the RRB NTPC exam alleging rigging. At the same time, the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has written a letter asking the Railways to change the name of its Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) examination. NTPC has written this letter because the students demonstrated after raising questions on the examination and its results and after that NTPC is being defamed unnecessarily. This problem is happening due to the examination of the Railways and the name of the power generating company. The image of NTPC is being tarnished unnecessarily by this. Many people have also started to feel that this exam is related to National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), whereas it is not so.

The students had expressed their opposition

Railway's RRP NTPC exam has been in the news for the last one week. The students have alleged that some irregularities have taken place in this examination. The students had demonstrated at many places on January 24, 2022. There was also a scuffle between the police and the protesting students in the demonstrations held at various places in Bihar. Following which Bihar Police registered an FIR against Khan sir and other coaching centres. They are accused of allegedly inciting violence with 400 unidentified people. After the protest of the students, the Railways has postponed the examination. Now a committee will resolve the grievances of the candidates, this committee has been constituted.
