India's top IT companies have doubled their campus hiring, battling rising migration in a strong demand environment. These top companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra and Cognizant. Experts predict that this boom in freshers hiring may continue in the job market during the coming financial year as well.
2.15 lakh freshers were recruited, in a report released in this regard, it was told that the top six IT firms have appointed 2.15 lakh graduates in the company as freshers in the financial year 2022, if you look at the figures of last year, this figure was just a little over 99,000. According to the report, Cognizant, HCL Tech, Wipro and Tech Mahindra together are preparing to hire 1.4 lakh freshers for the coming year. It said that the reason for this increase in the recruitment of facers is, in fact, increased migration in companies. Cognizant had the highest migration rate at 31 per cent, followed by Infosys, Tech Mahindra and Wipro with 25.5 percent, 24 percent and 22.7 percent respectively.
Further planning by IT companies
According to the report, Cognizant plans to recruit a record 50,000 people from the campus. Around 40,000 to 45,000 appointments will be made in HCL Tech. On the other hand, Wipro plans to recruit around 30,000. According to Tech Mahindra, it is expecting to recruit 15,000 freshers next fiscal. However, TCS and Infosys are yet to disclose the hiring figures for FY23
