Jammu and Kashmir: After the killing of Kashmiri Pandit, terrorists shot at SPO Riyaz Ahmed, died

Since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, attacks on non-Muslims and people from outside have increased in Kashmir.

Terrorists are terrified of the anti-terrorist operation in Jammu and Kashmir. They are targeting common people and policemen here. The latest case has come to light from Gudura in Pulwama. Here the terrorists shot SPO Riyaz Ahmed Thokar and a local resident. Both were injured in this attack and were admitted to the hospital. SPO Riyaz Ahmed died in the hospital. It is being told that SPO Riyaz Ahmed was shot by the terrorists outside the house.

Kashmiri Pandit employee shot dead in Tehsil office

Meanwhile, a Kashmiri Pandit employee was shot dead by two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists after entering a government office located in a congested area in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Thursday . The incident has been condemned by various employee organizations and political parties. Rahul Bhat (35) was posted in Chadoora tehsil office under a special package given for employment of migrant Kashmiri Pandits and was immediately rushed to SMHS hospital in Srinagar where he died after being shot.

Second Kashmiri Pandit murdered in seven months

Rahul Bhat is the second Kashmiri Pandit to be killed by terrorists in the last seven months. Earlier, prominent drug dealer Makhan Lal Bindru was shot dead by terrorists on 6 October 2021. Between August 2019 and March 2022, a total of 14 minority Hindus, including Kashmiri Pandits, were killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. Those targeted by the terrorists include prominent businessmen, sarpanches and members of the Block Development Council from different parts of Kashmir.

Mehbooba Mufti condemned the incident

Significantly, since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, attacks on non-Muslims and people from outside have increased in Kashmir. Condemning the incident, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti said that one more life was lost and one family was ruined. My condolences are with the bereaved family in this hour of grief. This shows that the claims of normalcy in Kashmir are wrong.

A Kashmiri Pandit employee was shot dead by terrorists in a government office in central Kashmir's Budgam district. After that there was an influx of mourners at his house. Rahul Bhat was cremated today i.e. on Friday. The relatives and relatives of the deceased have demanded an inquiry into the incident. Terrorists shot dead a clerk named Rahul Bhat inside the Tehsil office in Chadoora town. The deceased's father, Bitta Bhat, said at his residence in Durganagar on the outskirts of Jammu that his body should be returned immediately and an inquiry should be ordered to identify the perpetrators of the murder. After this incident, there was an influx of mourners at Bhat's residence.
