Gyanvapi Masjid Dispute: Varanasi administration's sleep broken due to court's rebuke, Superplan ready for survey

After the meeting with the Muslim side, Varanasi District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma told that from Saturday the proceedings of the Survey Commission will be done by the Advocate Commissioner.

Gyanvapi Masjid Dispute: In the case of Shringar Gauri Temple and Gyanvapi Masjid in Varanasi, the survey work will be started from Saturday, 14 May. After the rebuke of the Varanasi court, the Varanasi district administration lost its sleep on this issue. While reading out its order, the court had given a message that the authorities may adopt a lax attitude. In such a situation, a complete plan has been prepared regarding the survey.

After the meeting with the Muslim side, Varanasi District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma told that from Saturday the proceedings of the Survey Commission will be done by the Advocate Commissioner. A meeting has been held with people from all sides regarding this. Meanwhile, an appeal has been made to the people of both the sides to maintain peace and order. DM Kaushal Raj Sharma told the media that the commission's action will start from May 14. Its timing has been fixed from 8 am to 12 noon. All the parties have been called to initiate the commission proceedings so that the commission proceedings can start in a peaceful manner. It has been appealed to all in this meeting that the Legal Commission should cooperate with the action.

Changed many equations in two days

Earlier on Friday morning, the matter of survey of Gyanvapi Masjid reached the Supreme Court. Anjuman-e-Intjamiya Masjid Committee of Varanasi filed a petition to stop the survey. However, the Supreme Court immediately refused to stay. Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramanna said, 'I have not even seen the petition. I will look into the matter first. On Thursday, the court had given a big decision regarding the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi. The court had also refused to remove Advocate Commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra, who was appointed for the survey of Gyanvapi Masjid. The court had ordered the survey of the Gyanvapi mosque to be conducted before May 17. The report of the survey will be filed in the court on May 17.
