At least 27 people have died after a fire broke out in a three-storey commercial building near Mundka metro station in Delhi's western area.

Delhi Fire: A massive fire broke out in a commercial building in Delhi's Mundka on Friday, killing 27 people. All the bodies have been recovered by the administration. At the same time, 12 people have been seriously injured by burns. After the incident, more than 100 people have been rescued so far. At the same time, the fire was brought under control after a lot of efforts late on Friday night.

A fire broke out in a 3-storey commercial building near Mundka metro station in Delhi's western area, killing 27 people alive. According to the fire department officials, they received information about the fire at 4.40 pm. After this 30 fire tenders were sent to the spot.

Both the owners of the factory were arrested

After the incident of a three-storey commercial building, the police first detained the owners of the company, Harish Goyal and Varun Goyal, then arrested them. Varun Goel and Satish Goyal have been arrested by Delhi Police on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

NOC was not taken: According to media reports, adequate security arrangements were not made in the building. The building was being used for commercial purposes, but according to media reports, NOC was not obtained from the Municipal Corporation.

It is said that the evacuation arrangement in the building was not as per the standards. Because of this people were trapped inside.

There was chaos after the incident

The building where the fire broke out had an electronic goods warehouse. A large number of CCTV cameras and other equipment were kept. A huge amount of smoke came out due to the fire in the plastic goods. Many people died due to this suffocating smoke. Those trapped inside jumped down from the third floor to save their lives. Many also died due to injuries.
