Army jawan Sandeep Kumar Pal, a resident of Khirgaon Gheriya Mohalla of Hazaribagh city, was martyred on May 27 in an accident in Ladakh. The family members got information about his martyrdom over the phone. Manish Paul, the elder brother of martyr jawan Sandeep, said that the army officer Shadiq has given information about the martyrdom over the phone. As soon as this information was received, a wave of mourning spread.

In 2013, Sandeep joined the army

His mother passed away in 2020. There are two sisters who are married. On June 5, Manish, the elder brother of the martyr jawan, was going to be engaged.

Seven soldiers have been martyred after the bus slipped and fell in the river

Let us inform that a bus carrying Army personnel slipped from the road in Turtuk sector of Ladakh and fell into Shyok river, killing seven soldiers. While 19 others were injured. Army officials said that the accident happened at around 9 am on Friday at a place about 25 km from Thoise. On receiving information, the Leh Police, Army and local people launched a rescue operation. The injured have been admitted to the Command Hospital at Chandimandir in Panchkula district of Haryana. Officials said the vehicle in which the soldiers were traveling skidded off the road and fell into the Shyok river at a depth of about 50-60 feet. The vehicle carrying a team of about 26 soldiers was on its way from Partapur transit camp to a forward location located in Hanif sub-sector.

Whole country expressed grief including Prime Minister Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the bus accident. In a tweet, he said, deeply saddened by the bus accident in Ladakh, in which we lost our brave soldiers. He said, my condolences are with the bereaved families. I hope the injured people get well soon. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Army Chief General Manoj Pandey after the tragic incident. President Ram Nath Kovind expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and many other party leaders have expressed grief over the incident.
