Now studies in Nalanda Open University are going to be expensive. According to the university administration, the fees will be increased in the new session. The above proposal was given in the meeting held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. KC Sinha. In this, the problems being faced due to rising inflation and non-increase in fees for a long time were discussed.
Nomination process in NOU will start from July 5
In the meeting, there was talk of additional financial burden on the university due to increase in postal charges. However, there will be some more meetings to increase the fees. After that it will be unanimously finalized. All the formalities will be completed before the enrollment of the new session. Nomination process will start in Nou from 5th July.
Partial hike in fees
Vice Chancellor Prof KC Sinha said that there has been a proposal to increase the fees partially. Discussions are going on on that. Due to increase in postal charges and other financial expenses, the university is facing some difficulties. Since the salary, rent etc. of all the people in the university are given only by the amount of fees of the university. There is no fund of any kind from the government. This is the reason why the posts of teachers are not being restored even after the sanction. Because they will be given salary from the trap of the university.
Demand for grant to the university in salary head
The university has demanded from the government to restore the above seats from the University Commission and give teachers. Or else grant should be given to the university in salary head. However, he also said that the students will not be given too much financial burden. Fee hike will be partial. Despite this, there is a possibility of increasing the financial burden on lakhs of students studying in this university.
