Blood banks will be built in seven Sadar hospitals of Bihar

Blood banks will be set up in seven Sadar and district hospitals of Bihar and three blood separation centers will also be set up. Blood banks will be set up at Guru Gobind Singh Hospital in Patna City, Barh Sadar Hospital in Patna district, Sheohar, Motihari, Darbhanga and Gaya Sadar Hospitals. So there, blood separation centers will be set up in Gaya, Bettiah and Siwan.
Department of Transfusion Medicine will be established
Addressing the program organized on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that the government will establish the Department of Transfusion Medicine in NMCH within a year. Advanced Technology for Blood Grouping Semi-Automatic Column Agglutination for Blood Grouping and Cross Machine will be installed in the blood banks of all the district hospitals of the state.
Day care center will be set up
The Health Minister said that in two to three months, a day care center would be set up at Anugrah Narayan Medical College, Gaya and Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Bhagalpur. Thalassemia, hemophilia and sickle cell anemia patients require blood. Such patients can stay at these centers and get their treatment done. Day care units are already functioning in PSCH and SKMCH in the state.
Blood separation component at 34th place in the state
The Health Minister said that the blood separation component is at 34th place in the state. Now three more places in the state which are to be planted in Gaya, Bettiah and Siwan. He informed that four new blood centers have been established in the state at Sadar Hospital, Araria, Arwal, Banka and Bhagalpur. In addition, two new blood component separation units have been established at Sadar Hospital, Munger and Government Medical College, Purnia.
Two buses given for Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur
On World Blood Donor Day, two blood collection and transportation buses were given by the health department for Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur divisions. On this occasion, blood donors and organizations donating blood were rewarded. State Health Committee Executive Director Sanjay Kumar Singh, Additional Executive Director Keshavendra, State Drug Controller Ravindra Kumar, State Program Officer NK Gupta and other participants were present on this occasion.
