Agnipath is dedicated to youth, recruitment rally will start in UP-Uttarakhand from August

Lt Gen Yogendra Dimri, GOC-IN-C of Central Command gave information about the Agnipath Scheme in Lucknow Cantt.

Agnipath Scheme 2022: Under the Agnipath scheme, there will be a recruitment rally in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Its preparations have been started. The rally will start from the month of August. Agneepath scheme has been dedicated to the youth. Lieutenant General Yogendra Dimri, Chief of the Army Staff, Central Command gave this information in a press conference held in Lucknow on Wednesday.

In the press conference organized at Surya Auditorium, Cantt. General Yogendra Dimri told that now all the recruitment of army will be done only through the Agneepath scheme. Right now it's for men. There has been no change in the recruitment of women constables in the Military Police. A presentation based on the Agnipath scheme was also displayed on this occasion.

Rally from last week of October in Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur

The Chief of Army Staff, Central Command said that in the last week of August and the first week of September, recruitment will be done in the districts of West UP including Uttarakhand and Meerut. The recruitment will be done in the last week of October and first week of November this year in the districts attached to the army recruitment office in Lucknow, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur. The first batch will be recruited on 01 January 2023 next year. The first batch will enter service in July 2023.

Candidates with ITI Skill Development will get a chance

Lt. General Yogendra Dimri told that first there will be general duty recruitment. From next year, candidates with ITI skill development will get a chance. There is no direct provision for NCC. Misuse of security-related information by youths coming out after four years of service is not right. Even today one lakh youth are leaving the army after 15 years of service.

Agniveer will be called youth

Central Command Staff Chairman Lt Gen Vivek Kashyap told that the youth who pass 10th and become Agniveer, their further studies will also be done. They will come out after passing the Inter. This scheme will strengthen the profile of the Indian Armed Forces. The implementation of this scheme will reduce the average age of the Indian Armed Forces by about 4-5 years.

Agnipath, an attractive recruitment scheme for Indian youth to serve in the Armed Forces, has been launched. The youth selected under this scheme will be called Agniveer. Agneepath allows patriotic and motivated youth to serve in the armed forces for a period of four years. The recruitment which took place in 2021. Medicals have been done and their dispatch letters have not been issued, they will also be recruited through Agneepath scheme.
