How to cancel counter ticket online?
To cancel counter ticket online, visit this link (https://www.operations.irctc.co.in/ctcan/SystemTktCanLogin.jsf). After filling your PNR number, train number and captcha option here, tick the box with cancellation rules. After that click on submit button. Now OTP will come on the number you gave on the form at the time of booking. After entering the OTP, click on submit. After entering the OTP, your PNR details will appear on the page. After verifying the PNR details, click on the option of cancel ticket. After this the refund amount will be visible on the page. Also, a confirmation message will be received on the number mentioned on the booking form, which will contain the PNR and refund information.
How to know which train is canceled?
For the convenience of railway passengers, the railways puts the list of canceled trains on the railway website. Apart from this, its information is also available on NTES App. You can visit the railway website https://enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/mntes to know the status of any train. By entering the number of the train here, you will be able to know its status. You can click on the 'Exceptional Trains' section present on the railway website to see the complete list of canceled trains.
Full money can be received if the train is late
If your train is more than 3 hours late and the passenger does not travel, then TDR has to be filed before the departure of the train. To file TDR, one has to log on to the IRCTC website or mobile app (IRCTC Mobile App). Then go to 'My Account' and select 'My Transactions' option. Now click on File TDR.
Railway gives automatic refund when train is canceled
If you have an e-ticket and the train in which you are going to travel is canceled due to some reason, then you do not need to go anywhere to cancel the e-ticket. E-ticket money is automatically refunded in case of train cancellation. In such a situation, there is no need to file Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR).
