Agnipath Scheme: The three armies held a joint press conference on Sunday regarding the Agnipath scheme. During this it was made clear that the Agneepath scheme would not be withdrawn. Additional Secretary, Department of Military Affairs, Lt Gen Arun Puri said that every year around 17,600 people are taking premature retirement from the three services in the country. No one ever tried to ask him what he would do after retirement.

Lt Gen Anil Puri said that Agniveers who sacrificed their lives in the service of the country will get a compensation of one crore rupees. He said that Agniveer will get the same allowances and facilities in areas like Siachen and other areas which are currently applicable to regular soldiers. There shall be no discrimination against them in terms of service. Lt Gen Anil Puri said that whoever wants to join Agniveer with us, he will take a pledge that he did not take part in any demonstration or sabotage. No one can join the army without police verification. Therefore, the protesting students are requested not to waste their time.

The first batch of Agniveers will be inducted into the Air Force by the end of December

At the same time, Air Marshal SK Jha said that by the end of December, the first batch of Agniveer will be inducted into the Air Force. He said that the training of the batch would start before December 30. Air Marshal SK Jha said that the process of taking the first batch of Agniveers in the Indian Air Force will start from June 24. This is an online system. Under that registration will start on it. Whereas, after a month from July 24, Phase-1 online examinations will start.

The recruitment process will start in the Navy within a month

Navy Vice Admiral DK Tripathi on the Agneepath scheme said that we have started our recruitment process. By June 25, our advertisement will reach the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He said that the recruitment process would start within a month. Our first Agniveer will report at our training institute on 21st November. Vice Admiral DK Tripathi said that we are also taking women Agniveer in the Navy. Work has already started for the amendments to be made in our training for that. He said that we are waiting for 21 November. I hope the men and women Agniveer will report on INS Chilka.
