On discussions regarding dissolution of the state assembly amid the current political developments in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that whenever such a situation arises in any state, it is seen that the assembly is dissolved. However, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut seems to have avoided answering the question of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray resigning from his post.

Let us inform that there are a total of 288 seats in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and one seat is still vacant due to the death of one MLA. According to this, the total number of MLAs at present is 287. In such a situation, it is necessary to get the support of at least 144 MLAs to form or maintain the government. At the same time, the Uddhav government currently has 55 MLAs from Shiv Sena, 53 of NCP and 44 of Congress. However, rebel Eknath Shinde is claiming that more than 46 MLAs are standing with him. In such a situation, if these rebel MLAs go with the BJP, then it is almost certain that the BJP government will be formed again in Maharashtra. It is being told that the first choice of all these rebel MLAs is BJP. Let us inform that a chartered plane carrying rebel Shinde and Shiv Sena MLAs has reached Guwahati city of Assam on Wednesday morning.

Amidst all this, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said on Wednesday that Shiv Sena cannot be separated from Hindutva. He said that the MLAs who went with Eknath Shinde are getting calls and they are claiming that they have been forcibly taken away. Uddhav Thackeray said that NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and Congress leader Kamal Nath called me and said that they want me to continue as Chief Minister. Maharashtra CM said that if even one of the disgruntled MLAs says that he does not want me as the Chief Minister, then I will leave the CM post. Also, I will vacate the official residence.
