Presidential Election 2022: NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu reached Delhi on Thursday in the presidential election. She will file her nomination on Friday. Documents related to his nomination are being prepared at the residence of Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda will be among his proposers. Murmu (64) is expected to file his nomination papers in the presence of top party leaders. For the post of President, he will face the common opposition candidate, former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha.

On reaching Delhi, Murmu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu.
