The qualifying Indian team will start their campaign against the US on October 11 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

India vs Brazil: India will take on Brazil in the FIFA World Cup , but not in the main tournament of the senior category of the world football governing body, but in the women's under-17 tournament. Hosts India have been placed in a tough Group A along with football 'powerhouses' Brazil, Morocco and the US in the draw for the upcoming Under-17 FIFA Women's World Cup in Zurich on Friday.

16 teams will compete in three places in October

India will host the tournament at three venues from October 11 to 30. A total of 16 teams in four groups will participate in the tournament, which will be played at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa and the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The Indian team, which automatically qualified as the host country, will start their campaign against the US on October 11 (Tuesday) at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

The tournament was canceled due to the Covid epidemic

The second match will be played against Morocco on 14 October (Friday) at the same venue. The final group stage match of the hosts will be against Brazil on 17 October (Monday). India was to host the 2020 edition of the World Cup, but the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Defending champions Spain, who defeated Mexico in the final of the 2018 edition, have been placed in Group C along with Colombia, China and Mexico.

India hosting FIFA for the second time

Group B consists of Germany, Nigeria, Chile and New Zealand, while Group D consists of Japan, Tanzania, Canada and France. North Korea is the most successful team in the history of the tournament, having won the trophy in 2008 and 2016 while Japan, South Korea and France have won the title once each. Host Molly Kamita presented the official draw. India is hosting the FIFA tournament for the second time, having organized the Under-17 Men's World Cup in 2017.
