A special team of the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) on Friday arrested a Central Superintendent of Gaya district, Shakti Kumar (37 years), in connection with the question paper of the 67th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) going viral. This is the 15th arrest related to this case. Shakti Kumar was made the center superintendent of Ramsharan Singh Evening College located at Delha in Gaya district. Shakti is the first person, who took the photo of the question paper and made it viral. During interrogation, he has admitted that he had scanned the question paper 'C' set of BPSC examination from the dock scanner mobile app and sent it to a person named Kapildev through WhatsApp and leaked the question paper. Here, after his arrest, the court of the Special Judicial Magistrate of the IOU sent him to jail till July 6.

After his arrest in the BPSC paper leak case, Shakti Kumar, the central superintendent of Ramsharan Singh Evening College, Delha, Gaya district, was produced in the court of the Special Judicial Magistrate of IOU. From where the special court took him into judicial custody and sent him to jail till July 6. The Special Court of IOU is hearing the case by registering a case under sections 420, 467, 468 and 120B of Bhadvi, 66 IT Act and Bihar Examination Rules in the paper leak case.
This private college running in a rented building
According to Shakti Kumar, Ramsharan Singh Evening College was opened in the year 2010 in a rented building in Delha under Gaya district. In this private college, Shakti himself is working as the principal. It got affiliated in 2011. Their affiliation was also terminated in 2018. For the last four years, this college has a center for various competitive examinations. Along with this, the center of matriculation and inter-examination also falls here. The center of BPSC's Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination held on May 8, 2022 was also lying in his college. Special investigation team of IOU raided and searched this college and seized some documents and electronic equipment.

In this case, the investigation is being done on various points including criminal conspiracy to money trial. According to the officials, action will be taken on the basis of evidence against every guilty persons involved in the conspiracy by this entire gang.

On Sunday, May 8, 2022, the question paper of 67th BPSC PT exam was leaked on social media. After this, the commission had declared the examination canceled on the basis of the report of the investigation team. The team of Economic Offenses Unit probing the BPSC paper leak case has so far arrested a total of 14 accused in this case.

Anand Gaurav alias Pintu Yadav, the main kingpin of BPSC paper leak case, is still out of the grip of the police. He has studied engineering from NIT. In the interrogation of the youths arrested by the Economic Offenses Unit, it has been revealed that Anand and Pintu, the mastermind of the gang of the case, have also been arrested in 2015 in the teacher recruitment scam in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.
