The arrested Naxalite leader is the son of Jaglal Singh Bhokta, a resident of Kothilwa village under Banke Bazar police station.

The Naxalite, who was arrested on Saturday from Sadhdpur village of Imamganj police station in Gaya district on the border of Bihar and Jharkhand, has been identified as Ashok Singh Bhokta, the top leader of the Naxalite organization. The arrested Naxalite leader is the son of Jaglal Singh Bhokta, a resident of Kothilwa village under Banke Bazar police station. SSP Harpreet Kaur gave this information in a press conference held in her office on Sunday. The SSP said that the police recovered China-made loaded AK 56, loaded AK 47, loaded INSAS rifle, levy, one lakh 14 thousand 510 rupees, one walkie-talkie, three magazines of AK 47, four magazines of INSAS, 165 of INSAS from the spot. Bullet, 232 Bullets of AK 47, One Detonator Fuse Wire, Three Body Pouch, Three Pair Shoes, Eight Piece Small Mobile Phone, Two-Piece Hard Disk, One Tab, One Flower Thru, Four Piece Pocket Diary, One Piece Folding Knife, One A box of piece glasses, five pieces of memory cards, two pieces of bag and six pieces of batteries were recovered.

Raids conducted in Sadhpur village of Imamganj

The SSP said that some Naxalites were reported to be hiding near Sadhpur village of Imamganj police station. Immediately under the leadership of City SP Rakesh Kumar, DSP Ajit Kumar of Imamganj police sub-division, Imamganj police station in-charge Ejaz Ahmed and technical cell policemen were instructed to conduct siege and raid there. City SP laid siege to Sadhdpur village with STF, 29 battalion of SSB and 32 battalion of SSB, while making a strategy. During this, inner cordon, outer cordon and search team were formed while siege the village of Sadikpur so that there should be no attack on the villagers including the police team. After this, the hiding place of the Naxalites was marked.

Cases are registered in Madanpur and Dumaria police stations

The SSP said that during the search operation, a contingent of CRPF reached there to assist and arrested a person with a loaded INSAS rifle and 165 bullets from the suspect's house. After verifying about him, it came to know that he is a Naxalite Ashok Singh Bhokta. Naxalite Gautam Paswan alias Arun Paswan alias Brahmadev Paswan and Abhyas, who were with him, escaped from there by hiding their weapons and other belongings near a suspect's house taking advantage of the dense forest and mountain. The SSP said that against the arrested Naxalite Ashok Singh Bhokta, one case is registered at Madanpur police station in Aurangabad district and two at Dumaria police station in Gaya district.

FIR lodged in Imamganj police station

The SSP said that on Sunday, the case number 111/22 has been registered at the Imamganj police station on the statement of the Inspector against the arrested Naxalite and recovery of Chinese-made state-of-the-art weapons and other items including cartridges. Simultaneously, raids are being conducted to arrest the absconding Naxalites.
