Riya Tirkey of Jharkhand could not win in the final of Femina Miss India 2022.

Ranchi: Riya Tirkey has become the first tribal girl to represent Jharkhand in the grand finale of Femina Miss India 2022. However, she dropped out of the race in the final. The ramp walk under the final showdown started at 8 pm on Sunday night. Eight finally selected girls from across the country participated in the program held at Jio Convention Center in Mumbai.

In the competition, Sini Sadanand Shetty of Karnataka got the crown of Femina Miss India 2022. The first runner up was Rubal Shekhawat of Rajasthan and the second runner up was Sheena Chauhan of UP. Reaching the finale, Riya said that this opportunity is special for her, as she got a replacement at the last minute in place of Sneha George.

He said that it would be better to focus on the upcoming opportunity than to compete with others. It is necessary to move forward with patience believing in your ability. Riya is a resident of Tupudana. She says that she is proud to be a tribal.

Been trying for eight years:

Riya, who has been trying for the last eight years, got a chance in the competition this year. Completed 40 days of training in Mumbai itself before Miss India Grand Finale. Riya told that her modeling career started from 2015. In this sequence, she also failed in the audition of Miss India for seven consecutive years. Then this year she managed to make her place in the competition by getting the title of Miss Jharkhand 2022.

Riya says that she changed her personality a lot to prove herself to be the best in the competition. Worked on the method of communication and general knowledge under training. Particular attention was paid to body fitness. In this sequence, she was the finalist of the modeling competition Miss Vijayawada and Miss Amaravati. Miss Diva was a part of the audition round of Miss India. Apart from this, she has walked the ramp as a model in Bombay Fashion Week.

Chhattisgarh Miss TGPC-20 and Kokoberi became the runner up. Riya's father Aurobind Tirkey is the Chief Manager in Punjab National Bank, Mumbai. At the same time, mother Meera Tirkey is a housewife. Due to the work of her father, she has lived in different parts of the country. Parents cooperated to adopt modeling and acting career.
