'Before 2017 there was identity crisis in UP'

He told the media that before 2017 there was a big problem regarding development works in the state. UP was facing an identity crisis. The state government was not interested in implementing the beneficial schemes of the Centre. But after 2017 it changed. Today, the benefits of every scheme of the central government are being provided in the state. A massive campaign is being run against the goons and mafia in the state. Illegal properties worth Rs 844 crore have been bulldozed since 2017. Action has been taken against 2273 criminals under the POSCO Act. 68,784 unauthorized occupants and 76,196 unauthorized parking have been made free. 74,385 loudspeakers have been removed from religious places. At the same time, strict action has been taken against 50 mafia at the state level and 12 at the district level.

'PM to inaugurate Bundelkhand Expressway next week'

He claimed that 1,08,200 houses have been constructed for the poor. A total of 44 lakh houses have been constructed so far. The state government has presented the biggest ever budget of Rs 6.15 lakh crore for public welfare. 12,535 crore has been paid to sugarcane farmers. A total of 1.76 lakh crore has been paid so far. Projects worth Rs 80,246 crore were started in Groundbreaking Ceremony-3. The target of distributing free ration to 15 crore people continuously from April, 2020 is being fulfilled. Loans worth Rs 16000 crore have been disbursed to 1.90 lakh self-employed people. So far 2.60 crore youth have been linked to self-employment. The 296 km long Bundelkhand Expressway has been completed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate it next week. Now there are 5 new expressways in UP. 1.88 crore children have been enrolled in government schools.

'Started projects worth 40 thousand crores'

Talking about the work done for the welfare of the people, he said that 1 lakh girls have been benefitted under the Chief Minister Kanyasumangala Yojana. 13,849 beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Kanyasumangala Yojana were selected, 6683 of Destitute Women Pension Scheme, 1882 beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojna were selected. 2.25 lakh beneficiaries have been benefited under the old age pension scheme. Under the Chief Minister's Mass Marriage Scheme, 14,085 couples have been married. At the same time, while highlighting the investment, he said that it has increased from Rs 88 thousand crore in 2017 to Rs 1 lakh 55 thousand crore in 2022. 115 textile industrial units have been set up to promote exports with an investment of Rs 3000 crore. Projects worth 40 thousand crores have been started.
