How To Apply For Driving License: Relief has been given by the Central Government to those people who want to get their driving license made. If you are also among such people, then the good news for you is that now you do not need to visit RTO to get driving license. If you want that you can get your driving license made without visiting RTO and without giving driving test in RTO, then it is possible now. Under the new rules notified by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, driving license can be made with the help of recognized driving training center. For this, the candidate has to pass the test conducted by the recognized Driving Training Center. Driving license will be issued to the eligible candidates after clearing the test.
With this, people will not need to stand in long queues to go to RTO and get DL made. The Central or State Transport Department will operate such training centres. Those applying for driving license will have to enroll for training at recognized driver training center and pass the examination conducted by them. Once the candidate clears the exam, the training center will issue a certificate. After obtaining the certificate, candidates can apply for driving license. After this RTO will issue license on the basis of training certificate without any test.
The training centers will be equipped with simulators and dedicated driving test track. Those who can clear the test at the training centers will be issued a license without having to come to the RTO for the test. Accredited training centers can provide training for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) and Medium and Heavy Vehicles (HMV). The total duration of training for LMV will be 29 hours, which should be completed within four weeks from the commencement of the course.
