PM Modi Deoghar Visit: On arrival at Deoghar on July 12, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the plan to develop Jasidih station as a world-class station under the Deoghar-Rohini bypass and re-development project. Regarding this, Eastern Railway GM Arun Arora took stock of the preparations for Shravani Mela and the foundation stone laying program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Deoghar and Jasidih stations.

Taking stock of the ongoing preparations at railway stations

GM Mr. Arora inspected the Shravani Mela at Deoghar and Jasidih stations along with Principal Chief Heads of Departments (PHOD), Divisional Railway Managers/Asansol and Branch Officers of Asansol Division regarding the ongoing preparations for the fair. Also held a meeting with the officials of various departments. He saw the preparations going on at the stations for the convenience of the devotees and railway passengers. He inquired about the security and took stock of the ticket counter, pandal, seating arrangement of passengers, electricity, fans, mobile charging point, drinking water, waiting room and cleanliness. Also, he interacted with the passengers and noticed their suggestions. Instructed the officials for the successful operation of the fair and completion of the remaining work at the earliest.

Jasidih station will become a world-class station with 1000 crores

During the inspection, the GM reviewed the 4.9 km bypass railway line to be built between Deoghar-Rohini Jasidih. He also saw its map. The GM informed that a 4.9 km bypass rail line will be constructed between Deoghar-Jasidih near Keysar locality. It will pass under the Jasidih-Baidyanathdham railway line. He held a coordination meeting with the Principal Chief Department Officer at Jasidih station regarding the redevelopment project of Jasidih station at a cost of about 1000 crores. The foundation stone of both these schemes will be laid by the Prime Minister.

Inspection of window trawling

He said that during his return, he did a window trailing inspection from Jasidih to Asansol section. The DRM of Asansol Division and many office bearers of the division were present along with the GM. On this occasion, Senior DCM Shantanu Chakraborty, Senior Co-ordination Kaushlendra Kumar, RPF Commandant CM Mishra, RPF Inspector Samiran Chaudhary, Manoj Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, AK Ojha, Nandita Biswas and others were present.
