Trainee officers and personnel of the Prohibition Department, who were undergoing training at the CRPF camp in Rajgir, conducted extensive raids from late Saturday night till Sunday morning. This raid operation was carried out at 46 locations in three districts of Patna, Gaya and Nalanda, during which 94 thousand kg of Java-Mahua along with about three thousand liters of liquor was seized and destroyed. During this, 79 people who made and sold liquor were also arrested.

Sent to different areas of Patna, Gaya and Nalanda districts

Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition Department, Krishna Kumar said that the newly appointed officers and personnel of the department are being trained at Rajgir CRPF Camp. On the instructions of the Additional Chief Secretary, 300 of these office-bearers were sent to different areas of Patna, Gaya and Nalanda districts by forming six teams of 50-50 numbers.

Its monitoring done from Headquarters

It was monitored from Headquarters. The campaign went on continuously from 11 pm to 9 am. During this, the team raided 46 different places and destroyed it while recovering the liquor. During the raids, the team has also arrested 61 liquor makers and sellers in Patna district, 14 in Gaya district and four in Bihar Sharif.

Police caught seven in a state of intoxication

Patna. The police of Patrakar Nagar police station caught five alcoholics who were drinking while sitting on the bridge located near Yogipur canal. The arrested youths include Amarjeet, Sanoj, Manish, Bulbul and Manoj. Apart from this, Lalan Yadav and Santosh Kumar were caught in a state of intoxication on the 90-foot bypass.
