Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee had made it clear a day earlier that the massive Martyrs' Day rally is against the arbitrary attitude of the Centre.

Trinamool Congress has organized Shaheed Diwas Rally in Kolkata. In which a huge crowd of supporters has gathered to take part. The rally was addressed by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He made a big attack on the Modi government. Addressing the people, he said, the BJP has lost its mind. GST was also imposed on murmur. Mamta Banerjee said BJP does not have any intellectuals. A huge crowd of workers remained frozen even in the rain to listen to Mamta Banerjee. It was raining heavily when Abhishek Banerjee was addressing the people, but neither Abhishek stopped his speech nor did the workers leave the rally. People listened to Abhishek with an umbrella in the rain.


The crowd had started gathering since four o'clock in the morning

In West Bengal, a large number of people gathered at the Esplanade for the massive Martyrs' Day rally of the ruling Trinamool Congress. This rally is being taken out amidst tight security. This annual rally is being taken out after a gap of two years due to the Coronavirus epidemic and enthusiastic TMC supporters started reaching the rally venue from 4 am in trains, buses and private vehicles. Many of these people have reached the city two days before for the rally. TMC workers were seen arriving at two terminal stations of Howrah and Sealdah in overcrowded local trains. They carried party flags, traditional 'dhak' and posters of Banerjee playing the conch.


Security beefed up in Kolkata for the rally

At least 4,500 police personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order in the city during the rally. This year's rally is also special because it is being organized for the first time after TMC's resounding victory in the 2021 assembly elections and the party's return to power for the third time in a row.

Trinamool's Martyrs' Day rally against Centre's arbitrary attitude: Mamata

Trinamool Congress (TC) general secretary Abhishek Banerjee claimed that around 20 lakh people would attend the rally. TMC was organizing its annual Martyrs' Day rally through online medium for the last two years due to the pandemic.

TMC claims some BJP workers will join the party in the rally

According to TMC sources, there is a strong possibility that workers of other parties, especially the Bharatiya Janata Party, may join the party during this rally. A senior party leader said, "Many leaders are in touch with us.
