The work of redevelopment of Muzaffarpur railway station is going on in full swing. The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has estimated a cost of Rs 400 crore for this project.

The work of making Muzaffarpur Junction world-class is going on very fast. After construction, the design of the junction has been made public. The responsibility of making this junction world-class has been given to the Rail Land Development Authority. Muzaffarpur Junction has got A category status as this station is the highest earning junction of Sonpur Division. Despite this, there is a lack of passenger facilities here.
Will get world class facility
The Muzaffarpur railway station will soon be revamped and the station will be equipped with world-class airport-like facilities. The project will be redeveloped under the ambitious railway redevelopment program through the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contract model. Under the redevelopment plan of this station, it has been estimated that about Rs 400 crore will be spent on making it world class.

Ministry of Railways shared a glimpse of the proposed redevelopment of Muzaffarpur station on its official Twitter handle. Railways says that the objective behind the redevelopment of these stations is to provide world-class facilities to the passengers, making their journey more convenient and comfortable. The redevelopment will include the construction of a new station building, a 108-metre wide air plaza on the platforms and the provision of a second entry.

A large number of people come to Muzaffarpur Junction. Along with this, this city is famous for clothes, litchi, and other business. According to the DPR prepared again by RLDA, now the work of the railway station will be done. Earlier there was a DPR of 200 crores, which has now been increased to 397 crores. According to the new DPR, a 120-meter-long concorn will be built in it. In the first phase, the existing building from Reservation Counter to ASM Counter will be demolished and Concorn will be made.
