The government has planned to launch 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign on the 75th anniversary of India's independence.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the people to strengthen the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign by hoisting the national flag in their respective homes between August 13 and August 15. Modi said through a tweet that this campaign will deepen our association with the tricolor. He mentioned that the tricolor was adopted as the national flag only on July 22, 1947.

The Prime Minister said, "We today remember the courage and efforts of all those who dreamed of a flag for independent India when we were fighting against colonial rule. We reiterate our commitment to fulfill their dreams and build the India of their dreams."

Tricolor will be found in post offices

The central government is taking several steps to make the campaign a success. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, arrangements have been made for the production of three types of flags and they will be available in post offices, along with this people will be able to buy the tricolor online as well.

When will every home tricolor campaign be celebrated?

Under the central government's Har Ghar Tricolor campaign, the tricolor will be hoisted at more than 20 crore homes across the country for three days next month. An official statement said that under the program, the tricolor will be hoisted above the houses with public participation from August 13 to 15 and government and private establishments will also participate in it.
