ED Raid Bengal: State Industries Minister Partha Chatterjee arrested by ED in SSC corruption case

Minister Partha Chatterjee has been arrested after getting the green signal from the ED's headquarters in Delhi.

State Industries Minister Partha Chatterjee has been arrested in SSC corruption case. ED officials arrested Partha Chatterjee on Saturday after a long interrogation. He is being taken to CGO Complex from his house at 10:02 am on Saturday. It is known that Arpita Mukherjee has also been arrested.

According to ED sources, the arrest took place after getting the green signal from the ED's headquarters in Delhi. Partha Chatterjee is currently being taken to the ED's office in Kolkata's CGO Complex. ED officials were interrogated for about 27 hours in SSC recruitment corruption case. ED sources are also claiming that Partha Chatterjee will be produced in the court today and a request will be made to take him into custody.


ED officials started investigation by visiting Partha Chatterjee's house from Friday morning. Partha Chatterjee had also fallen ill once during the day's interrogation. The doctors had come to see him but even after this, the ED officials did not stop the questioning. It was learned in the night that twenty crore rupees have been recovered from the flat of model actress Behala, who is very close to Partha Chattopadhyay. ED released the picture of that money. Reportedly, the recovered money is directly linked to SSC corruption. It soon became clear that Partha Chatterjee would be arrested the same night. Arrested today.

This incident has created a furore in the politics of the state. It is being speculated that Partho Chatterjee's ministerial post may also go. But the party has not commented on the matter so far.
