Actress Arpita Mukherjee was arrested by the Central Investigation Agency on Saturday evening.

Politics is on the rise in the state over the scam in the appointments in schools through the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC). The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has already arrested the state's former Education Minister and current Industries Minister Partha Chatterjee. His arrest has given the opposition parties an opportunity to corner the ruling party after the recovery of over Rs 21 crore, jewellery, foreign currency and other items from the residence of his close aide Arpita Mukherjee.

Meanwhile, just a day after the arrest i.e. on Sunday, Arpita told reporters, 'I have nothing to do with any political party. Take care of my mother. After saying this, she wept bitterly. This incident happened when ED officials brought him here for production in the special court of the Central Investigation Agency located at Bank shall Court. Medical examination done in ESI hospital

Before being brought to the court, she was brought from the ED office in Salt Lake's CGO Complex to the ESI Hospital in Joka for medical examination after Arpita told the Central Investigating Officers that she was feeling unwell. After that he was brought to the hospital in Joka at around 11 am on Sunday. Journalists tried to talk to Arpita in the hospital too.

Arpita told journalists – have full faith in the law

Arpita then told reporters that she has full faith in the law. The law will run according to the law. There he got some medical tests done. According to sources, Arpita was brought to the court after medical examination and assurance by the doctors that she would not be admitted to the hospital for the time being.

Significantly, on Saturday evening, the Central Investigation Agency arrested actress Arpita Mukherjee. When he was brought out of the flat after his arrest, he shouted, 'I have not done any injustice. Haven't done any wrong. This is a big conspiracy of BJP.

Trinamool Congress shuns Arpita and Rs 21 crore

It is noteworthy that not only the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) is also linking the pile of cash received from Arpita's house with the Trinamool Congress. However, the Trinamool has rejected this and made it clear that the Trinamool has nothing to do with it and its related people from where the amount of crores has been recovered.
