West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has called a meeting of the state cabinet on Wednesday after around 3 pm on Thursday after an amount of over Rs 20 crore was found in the ED's raid from the house of Arpita Mukherjee, a close aide of Partha Chatterjee. According to the media report, after the ED raid, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is seen in the mood to make a big change in her cabinet.

Government car snatched from Partha Chatterjee

Alam is that West Bengal's ruling party Trinamool Congress (TMC) has stopped addressing Partha Chatterjee as a minister or general secretary of the party, sent to ED custody in the teacher recruitment scam case. According to media reports, even in TMC's mouthpiece 'Jago Bangla', the address of Partha Chatterjee as a minister or party general secretary has been stopped. However, Partha Chatterjee was also the editor of this mouthpiece. It is also being told in the media reports that the vehicle received by Partha Chatterjee has been snatched from the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Partha Chatterjee was using this vehicle for the last 15 years.

Cabinet meeting after 3 pm

Meanwhile, there is also news that after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) action and raids in the teacher recruitment scam case, West Bengal Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee has met the state's provisional governor L Ganesan. After their meeting, speculation has intensified regarding the action against Partha Chatterjee. Such speculations seem to be gaining more strength after Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee called a meeting of the state cabinet. Today this cabinet meeting will be held after three o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday.


Kunal Ghosh demands removal of Partha Chatterjee

TMC general secretary also wrote in a tweet on Thursday that Partha Chatterjee should be removed from all party posts and ministry immediately. He further wrote in his tweet that Partha Chatterjee should be expelled from the party. He said that if this statement is considered wrong, then the party has every right to remove me from all posts.

Partha Chatterjee is also Parliamentary Affairs Minister along with Industry

According to media reports, Partha Chatterjee is the Minister of Industry as well as Parliamentary Affairs in the Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal. Prior to this, he was also the Minister of Education and Information Technology of West Bengal. It was during his tenure as Education Minister that there was a teacher recruitment scam in Bengal. In this scam case, the Enforcement Directorate is investigating after registering a case against Partha Chatterjee and his close aide Arpita Mukherjee. Along with this, the raids on Arpita Mukherjee's premises are going on continuously.
