The final result of the 66th Combined Competitive Examination to be conducted by BPSC was released on Wednesday.

In this, Sudhir Kumar of Vaishali has come first, while Ankit Kumar of Nalanda has got second position and Brajesh Kumar of Araria has got third position.

Sudhir is a civil engineer from IIT Kanpur and has got success by taking Maths. He has achieved this great success in the first attempt itself. He had chosen the post of Assistant Commissioner of State Taxes for himself, on which he has been declared successful. The second ranked Ankit has chosen Bihar Police Service for himself and he has been selected for the post of DSP.

34 Selected for the post of DSP under Bihar Police Service

Of the successful candidates, 34 have been selected for the post of DSP under Bihar Police Service, while 11 have been selected for the post of Assistant Commissioner of State Tax. A total of 685 vacancies of other 12 categories have also been filled, while out of 689 vacancies, four posts remain vacant. This includes two posts of Supply Inspector and one each of Labor Enforcement Officer and Block Panchayat Raj Officer. It may be noted that 1838 candidates were declared successful in the written main examination, whose interview was held from 18 May to 22 June and again from 5 July to 18 July. In this 1768 candidates had appeared.

The combined merit list was prepared according to the sum of the marks obtained in the main (written) examination and the marks obtained in the interview of 1714 candidates who appeared in the interview. In case the aggregate marks of two or more candidates are equal, the candidate securing more marks in the Main (Written) examination, the candidate securing more marks in the optional (Elective) subject, if the marks of the Main (Written) are the same, the candidate who has secured more marks in the optional subject will be selected. In case of equal marks, the candidate who is older as per the date of birth is placed higher in the order of merit.
