Railways gave jobs to 18 thousand people this year: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told that Railways has offered 18 thousand jobs this year. In the context of West Bengal, the Railway Minister said that many projects were announced there in the past, but despite all the efforts of the Railways, it could not get the land.

Vaishnav said that work on the projects would be started as soon as the land is available in the state.

More than 2.97 lakh posts vacant: The central government told Parliament on Friday that by the end of 2021, more than 2.87 lakh posts were vacant in the Indian Railways, while in June 2022 this number increased to more than 2.97 lakh. The government also said that no post in the Railways has been abolished during the last three months.
