Two students drowned in the Ganges river while taking a bath at Patna's NIT Ghat.

Two youths died due to drowning in Ganga river on Monday at NIT and Kadamghat. Both these youths had come with their respective companions to take a bath in the Ganges river. The bodies of both are yet to be recovered. SDRF team was engaged in recovering the dead body. According to the information, 16-year-old Aditya died due to drowning in the Ganges river at NIT Ghat. It is originally from Saharsa and came to Patna about a month ago. He had taken admission in an institute to prepare for NEET and was living in a lodge in Musallahpur. Its father Arun Yadav is a farmer, while mother Ruby Kumari is a teacher.

SDRF and Peerbahor police were engaged in finding the dead body

Aditya was the eldest of two brothers. It is said that Aditya, along with four friends, reached NIT Ghat at seven in the morning to take a bath. Three including Aditya started taking bath and one started taking care of his clothes and other belongings. During this, suddenly Aditya's foot probably slipped and started drowning in the Ganges river. All the friends made a lot of hue and cry, but Aditya drowned. On getting information about the incident, his maternal uncle Sujit Kumar reached NIT Ghat and SDRF and Peerbahor police were engaged in finding the dead body.

The young man who worked as a caterer also drowned

Here, 26-year-old Abhishek Kumar, a catering worker at Kadamghat and a resident of Machuatoli, had also reached Kadam Ghat along with his five companions to take a bath at around 9 am on Monday. Abhishek went a long way in the river Ganges and started drowning. But, his friends understood that he was swimming. But, suddenly he went down and did not come up. After this there was an uproar of drowning and some swimmers also reached his place, but no information was received. After this the SDRF team reached and the body was searched till evening. But his body has not yet been found.
