The service of temporary workers working for 10 years of Distribution, Transmission and Generation Corporation working under Jharkhand Energy Development Corporation will be regular. Its process has been started. Deputy General Manager (HR) of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam, Abhishek Kumar has written a letter to the directors, general managers and other officers of the three companies asking for a list of personnel.
Information sought by August 31
He has directed to give the details of irregularly appointed and working personnel in Jharkhand Urja Vikas Nigam Limited and its subsidiaries by 31.8.2022 along with recommendation. In case of delay in the matter, accountability can be fixed.
List to be made available by August 20
The Deputy General Manager has written that the desired details of the irregularly appointed and working personnel have to be made available to the Jharkhand Urja Vikas Nigam Limited before the scheduled date i.e. by August 20. It should be considered as essential. It is to be known that in the light of the order of the Supreme Court and the High Court, on 20 June 2019, the Personnel Department had decided to regularize the service of such personnel who are temporarily appointed for 10 or more years. In this light, the process has now been started in the Electricity Corporation. In September 2016, Jharkhand Urja Vikas Nigam had issued a resolution to regularize the service of irregular employees working for more than 10 years. Now the list has been sought in this light. After this the service of such personnel will be regularized.

Jharkhand Power Workers Union has welcomed this initiative of Urja Vikas Nigam. Union President Ashish Kumar said that the union was constantly struggling with the demand to regularize the contract workers. Under this, movements like hunger strike were also organized in the past. As a result of this, now all contract workers will be regular. Ashish Kumar thanked the Chairman cum Managing Director and said that this was an old demand of the union, which the management has fulfilled and worked to bring happiness to the employees.
