Now a new twist has come in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission paper leak case.

Gaurav Chauhan, Additional Private Secretary working in the Public Works and Forest Department of the State Secretariat, has been arrested in the Subordinate Services Selection Commission paper leak case. Let us tell you that Gaurav Chauhan was summoned for questioning in this case in the past and later he was arrested. A total of 15 people have been arrested in this case so far.

Ajay Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Special Task Force Uttarakhand said, the investigation of the UKSSSC paper leak (Uttarakhand SSSC Exam) case has now reached the Uttarakhand Secretariat after the Printing Press Lucknow and the Recruitment Commission. He said, "On the basis of thorough interrogation of the accused and other students arrested earlier and on the basis of solid evidence, information was given from Manoj Joshi (court employee) and accused Tushar Chauhan regarding the leak of the exam question paper."

Ajay Singh further stated that the accused had entered into a deal with two candidates for Rs 15 lakh each, out of which Rs 24 lakh was received through the candidate after the result of the examination. "The rest was paid to others before the examination. The above arrests have been made on the basis of interrogation and available evidence and electronic evidence," he said.

STF will investigate UKSSSC paper leak case

According to sources, a Special Task Force (STF) was constituted to probe the alleged irregularities. Dehradun Police had registered a case against unknown persons for alleged rigging of graduation level recruitment examination. After the registration of the case, the Police Headquarters (PHQ) handed over the investigation of the case to the STF.

Pushkar Singh Dhami ordered an inquiry

On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Director General of Police, Ashok Kumar had ordered an inquiry. UKSSSC had conducted the written exam on 4th and 5th December last year (2021). This was the biggest examination of the Commission for 854 posts, in which 13 categories of posts of various departments were to be filled.
