These ITBP personnel had come to Jammu and Kashmir from North-East for the security of Amarnath Yatra.

Six ITBP personnel have been martyred, while 30 Himveers are seriously injured in a road accident in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. All these jawans were in JKP bus. Two Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel were also sitting in the bus. Initially, the cause of the accident is said to be brake failure of the bus. However, the Jammu and Kashmir Police is investigating the incident thoroughly to find out if there is any conspiracy with the bus. There will be a double inquiry into this incident. ITBP will also inquire into the bus accident at its level. 

There will be a detailed investigation into the accident

. These ITBP personnel had come to Jammu and Kashmir from North-East for the security of Amarnath Yatra. These soldiers were to return to their old duty place i.e. North-East by train. ITBP Himveers were to board the train from Jammu station. Sources say that in view of the way in which security forces and civilians are being targeted by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, a thorough investigation will be done into the bus accident. Normally in such cases the incident of brake failure of the bus does not come to the fore. A high official of Jammu and Kashmir Police said that this is an accident, right now our aim is to save the ITBP jawans. Yes, there will be a detailed investigation into this accident. There is no terrorist conspiracy behind this, investigation will be done from this angle as well. 

The Union Home Minister expressed grief

that after this accident in Chandanwadi of Pahalgam on Tuesday, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has started rescue and relief work. The injured jawans have been admitted to nearby hospitals. Dozens of ambulances have been deployed at the site of the incident. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has said that the country has lost its brave Himveers in this accident. All possible help is being provided to the injured. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said in his tweet, a bus carrying ITBP and police personnel has crashed in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. My prayers and condolences are with the bereaved families. The injured have been rushed to the hospital. They get well soon.
