Nalkari river is in spate due to incessant rains in Patratu of Ramgarh district of Jharkhand. In this, two people including a woman having a picnic were washed away, whose body has been recovered, while the search is on for three others including RIMS doctor Debashish Robin Tigga. The car that was submerged in the river has been pulled out. As soon as the information was received, his family members reached Patratu police station. The police is searching for the missing people.

Nalkari river is in spate

Nalkari river is in spate due to incessant rains for the last two days in Patratu of Ramgarh district. Last day at around 6:00 pm, the Nalkari river suddenly came into spate due to the rain water coming from the mountains. According to villagers, some people were having a picnic by parking a Maruti Alto car (JH 01 N 5746) under the Hariharpur bridge. During this, suddenly the water level in the river started rising. Some people tried to get out of the water, but the strong current of the water took them in their lap. In this, the bodies of two have been recovered, while the search for three is going on.

Two flown in a strong current of water

The villagers informed the Basal police station along with Patratu police on the early morning of Saturday about the flowing of the car. As soon as the information was received, Patratu police station in-charge reached the spot along with the police force and with the help of fishermen started the search for the people who were drowned in the water. After much effort, two bodies were recovered from Patratu Dam near Ambatola in Talatad. These include a woman and a man. The submerged Maruti Alto car was pulled out of the dam. The keys of the Alto car have been recovered from the pocket of the deceased.

Two dead, search for three continues

The deceased has been identified as Sumit Kumar (30 years) father Hemendra Bahadur Sona and Saneh Smriti Gadi (31 years) father Ramesh Oraon Kanke Road Hatma resident of Ranchi's Gandhinagar CCL Colony. The deceased was working as a manager in Jamshedpur Circuit House (Bank of India) branch. The missing include Dr Devashish Robin Tigga of RIMS, Vivek Gaurav Gadi (Misir Gonda, Kanke Road, Ranchi) and Sameer Saurabh (Gandhinagar, Ranchi). They are being searched. Their relatives have reached Patratu police station. SDPO Dr Virendra Kumar Chaudhary Circle Officer Shiv Shankar Pandey, SHO Gautam Kumar, SI Nirmal Oraon, ASI Varun Kumar Singh are at the spot. With the help of sailors and divers, they are engaged in rescue.
