The remainder of the drug that was given to Sonali Phogat has been confiscated from the washroom of the restaurant.

A big update has come in the murder case of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Tik Tok star Sonali Phogat. The police found in the investigation that the accused had given a drug called Methamphetamine to Phogat before his death in a Goa restaurant. Goa Police gave this information.

Four arrested so far in Phogat murder case

Deputy Superintendent of Police Jeevba Dalvi said that the remaining part of the narcotic which was given to Sonali Phogat at Anjuna's Curlies restaurant, has been seized from the washroom of the restaurant. Police have so far arrested Phogat's personal assistant Sudhir Sangwan, another associate Sukhwinder Singh, restaurant owner Edwin Nunes and alleged drug smuggler Datta Prasad Gaonkar in this case. Singh and Sangwan have been booked for murder while Gaonkar and Nunes have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

What other information did the Deputy Superintendent of Police give

Deputy Superintendent of Police Jeevba Dalvi said, the drug that Phogat was given has been identified as methamphetamine. Gaonkar had allegedly supplied narcotics to Singh and Sangwan. Gaonkar is an employee of the hotel in Anjuna where Phogat was staying. Former Tiktok artist and contestant of the 14th season of reality show 'Bigg Boss', Phogat died on August 23, a day after coming to Goa.

Court sent two accused to ten days police custody

Two accused arrested in the case of Sonali Phogat's death under suspicious circumstances were sent to ten days' police custody. The Anjuna police produced the accused Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Singh in the Mapusa city court. Sagwan and Singh reached Goa on 22 August with popular Tiktok star Phogat. Phogat was a resident of Haryana. Phogat, 42, was brought dead from his hotel at St. Anthony's Hospital in Anjuna in North Goa district on the morning of August 23. Police had said on Friday that Sagwan and Singh had allegedly mixed intoxicants in water and forced Phogat to drink it during a party at Curlies restaurant on the intervening night of August 22-23.
