Local Bodies Director Neha Sharma directed all the municipal bodies of the state to effectively implement the ban imposed on single use plastic (less than 100 microns). He informed that from 25 August 2022 to 25 September 22, a state-wide campaign has been started (ARAMBH: Awareness, Refuse, Alternative of Plastic, Mass Campaign, Be responsible, Hammer to Ban SUP) on a large scale. Director Neha Sharma instructed all the municipal bodies to make this campaign successful at their level. Also, directed to take action against those who manufacture and consume banned single-use plastic on a large scale.
Instructions to send proposal by 15th September
Local Bodies Director Neha Sharma gave these instructions in a review meeting of all the municipal bodies of the state held through video conferencing on Tuesday. During this, the Director took stock of the status of various schemes run by the Urban Development Department. Along with this, all the municipal bodies were instructed not to take any kind of laxity in the implementation of schemes related to the public. Director Neha Sharma discussed the Safai Suraksha Mitra soft loan in the meeting. He said that an awareness program would be conducted to take the benefit of this loan to the Safai Suraksha Mitras. The Director asked all the municipal bodies to lay emphasis on cleanliness and maintenance of public toilets. Instructions were given to send proposals by September 15 to make the municipal bodies pothole-free.
Instructions for sending notifications on time
In the meeting, Director Neha Sharma directed all the municipal bodies to provide the desired information on time. He said that the delay in sending the information also raises questions on efficiency. The Director began with a review of the status of providing information on the e-Nagar Seva Portal of the Urban Development Department. Expressed displeasure over the delay in giving information by the municipal bodies. He directed all the municipal bodies to provide property information as well as other necessary information on the e-Nagar Seva portal by September 15.
Took stock of the situation till the creation plan
During the meeting, the Director took stock of the situation ranging from Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Nagar Vikas Yojana, PM Svanidhi Yojana, drinking water supply to Chief Minister Nagar Srijan Yojana. Also, instructions were given to achieve the target set on time. In this meeting, along with Director Neha Sharma, Deputy Director (Administration) Rashmi Singh, Assistant Director (S) Dr. Savita Shukla, Additional Director (Veterinary) Dr. Aslam Ansari, Assistant Director (Accounts) Akhil Singh along with other officers were present.
