While SP and BSP are busy making new members, preparations for civic elections are expected to gain momentum after becoming the new state president in BJP.

In Uttar Pradesh, all the political parties are busy preparing for the municipal elections (Nagar Panchayat, Nagar Palika and Municipal Corporation). Political parties across the country are eyeing this election. Because Lok Sabha elections will be held directly after the municipal body in UP. Therefore, the municipal elections are being considered as the semi-finals of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. But, even before the civic elections, there is more demand for Congress tickets than SP-BSP in UP.

While SP and BSP are busy making new members, preparations for civic elections are expected to gain momentum after becoming the new state president in BJP. But, Congress has started taking applications for civic elections. Along with this, more than 50 applications have been taken from the Congress office for the post of one Municipal Corporation of Bareilly, 04 Nagar Palika and 15 Nagar Panchayat President (Chairman). Municipal elections are scheduled to be held by the end of this year. Due to which, from the government to the Election Commission, they are busy in their preparations. In such a situation, the political excitement regarding the civic elections in the state has intensified.

Municipal corporation, nagar panchayat, chairman of municipality and ward councilors and councilors are trying to win the election. The state government is engaged in expanding the limits of municipal bodies. The boundary is also being expanded in the municipality of Bareilly, Faridpur. At the same time, Special Officer of the State Election Commission, SK Singh has said that the municipal elections will be held by the month of December. This time SP is also preparing to field candidates, while BSP is also churning. But the Congress has started betting on the claimants.

Ilyas Ansari, the current chairman of Congress from Mirganj, the Nagar Panchayat of Bareilly, has come to the ground. Outgoing District President Mirza Ashfaq Saqlaini from Nagar Panchayat Sirauli has been working hard for several months. Haji Uwais Khan from Nagar Panchayat Thiriya Nijawat Khan has started campaigning by joining Congress. Congress District General Secretary Wasim Akram is contesting in Nagar Panchayat Shishgarh. They have applied long ago. Ayaz Khan from Municipality Baheri, Idul Hasan in Nagar Panchayat Senthal, Municipality Faridpur, Aonla, Nawabganj, Nagar Panchayat Devrani, Faridpur, Fatehganj P., Shahi, Dhauratanda etc. Contenders have also applied for contesting elections, while other parties Membership is busy in the campaign. Last time in the civic elections, Congress was not getting ticket seekers.

But, this time there is a crowd of claimants. Knowing this, the politicians are convinced that in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, a big vote can move towards the Congress. Congress is expected to get the benefit of this. The way to the PM's chair goes from UP itself. Therefore, good signs are being considered for the Congress. But, BJP, SP and BSP are yet to come in the fray. Only after this the picture of civic polls will be clear. However, Congressmen believe that not only in Bareilly, but in UP, there has been an increase in the number of claimants in Congress.

The election was held in three phases

Last time i.e. in the year 2017 in the month of November, civic elections were conducted in three phases. The results were declared after counting of votes on December 1. In the first phase, 22 November in 24 districts of the state, then in the second phase on 26 November in 25 districts. And then on November 29, in the third phase, polling was conducted in 26 districts.
