Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been summoned by Delhi's Patiala House Court and directed to appear in court in a case of extortion of Rs 200 crore. The case is related to thug Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also made Jacqueline an accused in this case. The actor has been asked to appear in court on September 26.

According to ANI, Delhi's Patiala House Court has issued summons to actor Jacqueline Fernandez and directed him to appear in the court on September 26. The court has recently taken cognizance of the supplementary charge sheet filed in the case. The case involves alleged extortion and money laundering by conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The actor was rumored to be in a relationship with a conman after pictures of the two surfaced online.

Gifts worth crores were given

It is noteworthy that "Sukesh Chandrashekhar had given various gifts worth Rs 5.71 crore to Jacqueline Fernandes out of proceeds of criminal activities including extortion." Jacqueline knew Sukesh Chandrashekhar was a criminal

According to sources, the ED has mentioned in its chargesheet that Jacqueline knew Sukesh Chandrashekhar was a criminal. ED will file supplementary chargesheet against the film actress in Delhi's Patiala House Court today. This chargesheet will be filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). This supplementary chargesheet will be done in the recovery case of Suresh Chandasekhar lodged in Tihar Jail.

Jacqueline herself gave the details of the gift

Jacqueline, in her statement to the ED in August and October last year, said that she received three Gucci designer bags, two Gucci dresses for gym wear, one pair of Louis Vuitton shoes, two pairs of diamonds as a gift from Chandrasekhar. Earrings and two Hermes bracelets were found. He returned a Mini Cooper car, which was similarly gifted to him. The Enforcement Directorate, in its probe, found that Chandrashekhar was in "regular contact" with Jacqueline from February until she was arrested (by Delhi Police) on August 7 last year.
